Week 17: High, Low, Buffalo
4/19/2026 - 4/25/2026
High
- While running errands my husband wanted to check out Foot Locker just to browse inventory. To my surprise I saw Chicago Lows on sale, and of course they had them in my size. It was a no-brainer to cop!
- I feel like every week mentions some sort of delicious home-cooked meal, but to cook for others really is another form of intimacy! Trader Joe's porcini mushroom ravioli paired with a homemade cherry tomato sauce was the easy yet indulgent weekday dinner. I threw together a chopped Italian salad with a homemade vinaigrette to accompany the pasta βΒ once you realize how easy it is to make, you'll never buy bottled dressing again.
Low
- Coming off a painful game 2 loss at home, the Knicks entered Atlanta for game 3 looking disjointed. At least we were in good company watching the game with our fellow New Yorkers in LA β to know pain is to truly be a Knicks fan. Back to back losses in the Playoffs isn't fun, but we've suffered way worse times.
Buffalo
- Apparently you dream every night, it's just a matter of whether or not you remember having them. Growing up I wasn't really a vivid dreamer, but since taking a break from drinking and smoking (da ganja π) my dreams have been extra detailed. Some nights it feels like flipping through TV channels when there's nothing to watch. While I'm grateful that REM sleep is doing it's thing, sometimes I wake up more exhausted than rested. I should probably start journaling my dreams.
